The Hive were selected to represent the Best of British Food Producers! ITV program producers contacted The Hive Honey Shop, after having tried and loved our honeys. They were very interested in our Surrey Bee Heaven Farm apiary and the immense history surrounding our shop, Britain’s first ever dedicated honey shop!
The program is present by Lynda Bellingham- ‘My Tasty Travels’, touring around the country in her vintage VW bus to find the best national food artisans. They were very excited to find us, forth generation beekeeping family, still producing pure British honey in the traditional way since 1924. Lynda was eager to don her beekeeping outfit and get stuck into one of our 100+ beehives. The film crew joined in too and were fascinated by the care and attention we take in looking after our bees and the amazing varieties of honey we harvest and sell through our shop.
Lynda suffers badly from hayfever and was especially interested in our HayfeGUARD Local Honey and Pollen Preparation. She is keen on natural health remedies and was excited to give HayfeGUARD a go this year. It was a great pleasure to meet Lynda Bellingham who was full of praise of what we do and great fun to work with.
