Well Kilbourne Honey Tin, NY USA circa 1920s

This tin has beautiful vintage honey/ queen bee graphic advertising on the tin. Part of our personal museum collection depicting the history of bees and beekeeping throughout the world. This is our earliest example from circa 1920s.

These rare tin containers were used in the old times to sell honey.When WW2 arrived many metal/tin items were crushed and reclaimed for the war effort. Few survive today. This is even more rare and special as the label on the tin is made of paper and remains largely in tact.  It reads (missing-‘Pure’) ‘Extracted Honey’ circa 1920s It also still has its original lid! This tin is from Well Kilbourne, Honey Tin, NY USA.
